SUGAR LAND, TEXAS – The Monkey God
The Monkey God towers at 90 feet.
The Senate candidate spits venom from his pulpit.
And America trembles at the clash between pluralism and parochialism.
THE CLAIM
Alexander Duncan, Texas Republican Senate candidate, set the prairie aflame with his thunderous claim:
“Why are we allowing a false statue of a false Hindu God here?
We are a CHRISTIAN nation!”
But as his words echoed, the Statue of Union — Lord Hanuman himself — stood unshaken in Sugar Land, towering, defiant, unbowed.
“Hanuman does not tremble before Texan thunder!”
THE HINDU ROAR
Hindu American Foundation hit back hard — calling Duncan’s rant “anti-Hindu and unconstitutional.”
Social media exploded with fury:
- Whose America is this?
- A melting pot — or a melting-down pot?
FAITH FIGHT IN TEXAS!
This is about America’s soul.
Republican hopeful breathes fire against Hindu God!
This is not about one statue.
DUNCAN’SWORDS =
DISUNION
HANUMAN’S
STATUE = UNION

Duncan’s fury is a stone thrown at the Constitution. But Hanuman is a mountain carried on his shoulders. He roared once in Lanka. He roars again in
Texas. And in this fight—Hanuman wins.
IN TEXAS, HANUMAN STANDS 90 FEET HIGH. CAN AMERICA’S IDEALS STAND AS TALL?
